At Alborak Stable Riding School, our focus is to provide education to further the enjoyment of the horse. We are a hands on experience, where students learn care and management of their horse, as well as essential riding skills. Lessons are available for all levels, and ages 6+.

Alborak Stable Riding School is located west of Calgary nestled in the rolling foothills, and is home to Olympian Sandra Donnelly and her 2008 Beijing Olympic mount, Buenos Aires.

Programs and Classes
Alborak Stable Riding School offers various programs and classes for riders of all levels and ages. All riding lessons include grooming and tacking up your own horse, which we believe is a fundamental part of bonding and teaching responsibility to our students. We are all about fun, education, and safety.
For riders getting back in the saddle or changing barns
Students will have a one on one lesson with certified instructor. Instructors to complete rider assessment check list and evaluate the riders strengths and weaknesses both on and off the horse. Jumping component will be with poles both on the ground and elevated no more than 15 inches. Instructor to work closely with program coordinator to ensure that the student can fulfill their riding goals.
Introduction to Riding
For riders new to the equine world
Students will have a one on one lesson with certified instructor to see if riding at Alborak is the right fit. Instructor will demonstrate the tasks associated with catching, grooming and tacking up. Students will then have a short ride to get a feel of what it's like in the saddle.
Session includes facility tour and barn safety handout.
10 Week Program
For riders looking for continuous education
Spanning over the course of 10 weeks, students will progress through either Beginner Level 1 (BL1), Beginner Level 2 (BL2) or Novice (ranging in levels and difficulties) and follow Alborak Riding School curriculum.
